HOW IT WORKS

Dermal needling is the only rejuvenation treatment that maximises penetration of essential cell nutrients and release of growth factors, stimulating collagen and promoting a healthier and smoother skin. Because skin needling encourages inbuilt healing mechanisms, scars and stretch marks will respond positively.
Dermaviduals products and treatments will only enhance these results, as no undesirable ingredients are used which can potentially interfere with the skin ability to apply the active ingredients.

In society today we are all striving to have the perfect skin, look younger and be more attractive, as a result there is a raft of both treatment modalities and products available to the consumer, some of which are very invasive through to those which sound fantastic but do not deliver. Collagen Induction Therapy is a relatively non-invasive treatment, has minimal down time post-treatment but genuinely delivers excellent results. A micro-injury is created by the precise, fine, stainless steel needles which rapidly penetrate the skin, this in turn creates a healing cascade in which key cells in the skin, keratinocytes, melanocytes and fibroblast, are activated to perform better. For example the keratinocytes are responsible for cellular communication in regards to the outer environment of the skin, this communication is enhanced and the epidermis is thickened with the barrier defence systems working optimally. The melanocytes behave in a more controlled manner and melanin production can be controlled more efficiently with better product penetration and fibroblast cells are stimulated to lay down wound collagen (type 3). This collagen can be haphazard to begin with but under the influence of the enzyme collagenase the collagen is converted to (type 1) the structural collagen which lays in a mesh like format and gives greater support and structure to the skin.
